Our aim is that by means of high quality application-oriented research and development, we make a rapid, measurable, and sustainable difference to the success of companies and institutions; and by directly integrating findings from research and development projects into teaching we guarantee high quality teaching with practical relevance addressing themes of current interest.

Our research profile at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences is characterised by future-oriented research and development activities tailored towards key markets in the state of Saxony-Anhalt and the requirements of regional businesses and institutions. To this end we implement a large number of innovative research and development projects in the fields of engineering, economics, public health, communications and the social sciences. By concentrating specific skills in a number of competence centres we are able to take a holistic, cross-disciplinary approach to research themes.
