Ellen Heymans comes from Belgium

Ellen Heymans from Belgium - exchange semester on the degree programs in Interpreting for Business, Courts and the Civil Services and in Sign Language Interpreting on the Magdeburg campus.
What I liked most about Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences was the large campus. The city centre is only 10 minutes away by tram, but there’s a feeling of being much more distanced from everyday life in a small studious community. The lectures are very professional and are given by very capable, enthusiastic professors. If a class is ever cancelled, students can adjourn to the cosy Café Frösi.
The program in Sign Language Interpreting motivated me to choose Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. But I was also pleasantly surprised by the practice-focused interpreting classes for spoken languages. Also, there are other opportunities that are not be missed. For example, I took part in a 10-day study trip to Poland, which really taught me a lot.
A positive surprise was the friendliness and helpfulness of the people of Magdeburg.
